“And in every generation, there comes a point in time where you have to pick and choose the right side. And by right, I don’t mean conservative, nor Democrat. Because the right side knows no political affiliation, no religious beliefs, and no ulterior motives. The right side of history is the right side of morality, the right side of justice, the right side of truth.”

—Yasmine Bryant, 80th Miss Morgan State University and Gun Violence Survivor

3. DO: Tell Your Lawmakers to Reject a Dangerous Federal Mandate That Would Gut Our State Gun Laws

@studentsdemand

@repjasmine calling out gun extremist hypocrisy is music to our ears 🎶 When guns are the #1 killer of our generation, our lawmakers should focus on trying to protect us from gun violence. But right now, over 200 Republicans in Congress want to gut the gun safety laws that help keep us safe. Tell your lawmakers to fight back and oppose a dangerous Concealed Carry Mandate (CCM) at the 🔗 in our bio. #JasmineCrockett #GunViolence #EndGunViolence #GunViolencePrevention #GunViolenceAwareness #SchoolSafety #GunSafety #GunViolenceSurvivor #GunIndustry #IndustryAccountability #GenZ #GenerationZ #StudentsDemandAction

Elected leaders calling out gun extremist hypocrisy is music to our ears. When guns are the number one killer of our generation, our lawmakers should focus on trying to protect us from gun violence.

But right now, lawmakers are pushing a new federal mandate that would gut our state gun laws, forcing states to allow people with dangerous histories to carry hidden, loaded guns in states that wouldn’t otherwise let them. Support our efforts to protect our communities and loved ones by completing our form to contact your Congressional lawmakers.
