Join the Movement

We shouldn’t have to worry about getting shot while grocery shopping, working, jogging, sitting in class, worshipping, watching a movie, walking to school, or sleeping. Students Demand Action is working towards a future free from gun violence, and your voice and energy can help us get there.

We are powered by the commitment and leadership of students all around the country. We welcome all young people to join us in taking action against gun violence.

Get Started!

Why You Should Get Involved

  • Create change in America: Gun violence is the leading cause of death for American children and teens. Every day, 120 Americans are killed with guns and more than 200 are shot and wounded. We refuse to accept these facts. Our movement is founded on the belief that we deserve better, and we can make meaningful change at the local, state, and national levels.
  • Grow as an activist: By joining Students Demand Action, you will gain valuable hands-on experience building grassroots power and engaging in gun violence prevention campaigns. You’ll have the opportunity to grow as a leader, influencer, and community organizer through trainings, meetings, and events.
  • Connect with peers: Students Demand Action volunteers hail from all 50 states and Washington, D.C., representing small towns, big cities, and everything in between. Collaborate with like-minded individuals from different backgrounds, all working together toward the common goal of ending gun violence.
