Everytown, House Majority PAC Launch Initial $10 Million Paid Media Campaign to Elect Moms Demand Action Volunteers in 8 Key Battleground Districts and Flip the House

WASHINGTON — Today, Everytown for Gun Safety Victory Fund and House Majority PAC announced an initial $10 million paid media campaign to elect former Moms Demand Action volunteers in eight key battleground House districts across Arizona, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Targeting persuasion and turnout audiences, the TV, streaming and digital ads will highlight the strong public safety records of our endorsed candidates and the threat MAGA extremists pose to commonsense gun safety laws and our communities.

“For nearly two years, a MAGA House has rubber-stamped the Trump administration as it tore up federal gun safety laws, and flipping these eight seats is how we put a stop to it,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety. “There’s a Moms Demand Action volunteer on the ballot in every one of these districts, and we’re partnering with House Majority PAC to turn them into majority makers.”

In 2021, Everytown Victory Fund launched the Demand a Seat program to train grassroots volunteers and gun violence survivors to take the next step in their advocacy efforts by running for office or working on campaigns. Since then, the program has elected more than 600 volunteers to office across 43 states and six former volunteers now serve in Congress. Last year, Everytown helped elect former Moms Demand Action volunteer Abigail Spanberger as Governor of Virginia and volunteers now make up 20% of the Virginia General Assembly’s House Democratic majority. Moms Demand Action volunteers now hold five or more seats in 15 state legislative chambers.
